Architectural Features

The Dubai Frame, located at the Stargate in Dubai Zabeel Park, is a magnificent structure designed by Fernando Donis in 2013. It became a prominent attraction in Dubai upon its completion in 2018. The design aims to provide visitors with views of both the landmarks and historical sites of Dubai.

The Dubai Frame is a giant structure, standing 150 meters tall, with a frame-like appearance. It covers an area of 7,145 square meters and features 15,000 square meters of gold plating. The construction utilized over 9,900 cubic meters of reinforced concrete, 2,000 tons of steel, and 2,900 tons of glass laminates.

Steel beams were used to establish an ideal balance in the building’s construction, following the “golden ratio” of 1.618. This provides a strong horizontal balance configuration. At the connection point of the building, there is a 25-meter-long glass panel depicting the 2020 Dubai logo in gold-colored stainless steel on laminated glass.

The Dubai Frame features elevators that transport visitors to the top of the tower in just 75 seconds. Ultraviolet infrared radiation filters are incorporated throughout the building, particularly in the elevators’ foot section, to prevent the greenhouse effect and achieve significant energy savings.

A sky bridge weighing 3,000 tons is supported by 1.4-meter-thick plates and 3.5-meter consoles. This section of the structure can accommodate 200 visitors simultaneously. To enhance its visibility during nighttime, the frame is surrounded by bright lights that change hourly, making it even more striking.

Dubai Frame Floor Plan Features

Consisting of a total of 48 floors, Dubai Frame offers areas where you can experience different atmospheres. The suspended floor of the frame hosts museums, spaces, and exhibitions reflecting Dubai’s past. In this area, the use of projections, fog effects, and scents aims to maximize the experiential learning process.

On the 48th floor, the highest level of the building, a 25-meter-long glass viewing terrace awaits you, providing a bird’s-eye view of the city. There is also a coffee bar serving visitors who want to watch the cityscape from the glass terrace. This bar, with a rich menu, offers various items to meet your food and beverage needs. Additionally, next to the coffee bar, there is a shop where specially designed Dubai Frame souvenirs are available.

Current Dubai

The Skydeck floor of the glass bridge allows visitors to observe the natural and cultural beauty of the city from a panoramic and bird’s-eye perspective.

Future Dubai

Accessed through the Vortex tunnel, this area features an exhibition depicting the future vision of Dubai. The exhibition offers immersive audio and visual experiences using cutting-edge technology.

Dubai Frame, also known as the Golden Frame, stands at a height of 150.24 meters (493 feet), making it one of Dubai’s iconic landmarks. Located in the center of Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Zabeel Park Stargate road, the building represents Dubai’s progressive nature by incorporating advanced technologies.

The structural features of Dubai Frame include:

– A perimeter of 95.53 meters (313 feet)

– A height of 150.24 meters (493 feet)

Dubai Frame Transportation Guide

• To reach Dubai Frame, the city’s main transportation, the Redline metro, can be used. Simply disembark at the ADCB station to access Dubai Frame conveniently.
• Alternatively, bus number 5 provides direct access to Zabeel Park, where Dubai Frame is located.

Things to Know Before Going to Dubai Frame

• No Camera Usage: Please note that the use of cameras is strictly prohibited within the “50 Years of Dubai” exhibition. Avoid recording with phones and digital cameras to comply with the rules.

• No Pets Allowed: Pets are not permitted inside Dubai Frame. If you have pets, it’s recommended to utilize pet hotels and salons available in Dubai for their care during your visit.

• No Outside Food and Drink: Bringing food and beverages from outside is not allowed within the premises. However, you can find a coffee bar on the upper floor of the building to satisfy your dining and refreshment needs.

• No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside Dubai Frame. Please adhere to the designated smoking areas or refrain from smoking during your visit.

• Glass Floor Caution: Although the glass floors are durable, jumping on them is prohibited to maintain their integrity and durability. Please be mindful of this precautionary measure.
