This Privacy Policy explains how we accumulate your information across the Birchfort Platform (“Platform”). There are three general categories of information we collect:

1. Information You Give Us: We receive the information you share with us when you use the Platform:

1.1 Account Information:  When you sign up, we require specific information such as your name, email address, and date of birth.

1.2 Profile Information: We may also require you to fill in a profile, which may include your address, phone number, and gender.

1.3 Payment Information: We gather your financial information (like your bank account or credit card information) when you utilise the Payment Services to process payments.

2. Information We Automatically Collect from Your Use of the Platform: When you use the Platform, we collect information about the services you use and how you use them:

2.1 Usage Information:  We collect information about your interactions with the Platform, such as the pages or other content you view, your searches for Listings, bookings you have made, and other actions on the Platform.

2.2 Location Information:  When you use specific features of the Platform, we may collect different types of information about your general location (e.g. IP address) or more specific location information (e.g. precise location from your mobile GPS).

2.3 Log Data: We automatically collect log data when you use the Platform, even if you have not created an Account or logged in. That information includes, among other things: ​​details about how you’ve used the Platform (including connections to third-party applications), IP address, access times, hardware and software info, device data, device event information (e.g., crashes, browser type), and the page you’ve viewed or engaged with before or subsequently using the Platform.

2.4 Transaction Information: We gather up information related to your transactions on the Platform, including the date and time, amounts charged, and other related transaction details.

3. Information We Collect from Third Parties: We may pick up information that others provide about you when they use the Platform, or receive information from other sources and merge that with data we accumulate through the Platform.

3.1 Third Party Services:  If you link, connect, or log in to your Account with a third-party service (e.g., Facebook, WeChat), the third-party service may send us information such as your registration and profile information from that service. This data varies and is controlled by that service or as authorised by you via your privacy settings at that service.

3.2 Your References:  If an individual has written a reference for you, it will be published on your public profile page.

3.3 Background Information: We may use your information, including your full name and date of birth, to receive reports from various civic authorities.

3.4 Other Sources:  To the extent allowed by applicable law, we may obtain additional information about you, such as demographic information or fraud detection information, from third party service providers and/or collaborators, and combine it with information we receive about you.
